Nestled in the heart of Colombia’s celebrated Huila region, this coffee is grown in one of the country’s most respected coffee-producing landscapes. Surrounded by dramatic mountain ranges, fertile volcanic soil, and a climate ideal for slow cherry development, Huila has become known worldwide for producing coffees with exceptional sweetness, bright acidity, and remarkable balance. The coffee is cultivated by dedicated local farmers, many of whom have cared for these lands for generations. Working on small family-owned farms at high elevations, they carefully tend each coffee tree throughout the growing season, combining traditional farming knowledge with a strong focus on quality and sustainability. The region’s warm days and cool mountain nights allow the cherries to ripen slowly and evenly, developing deeper sweetness and more refined flavor complexity. Every harvest is carefully hand-picked at peak ripeness to ensure only the best cherries are selected. After harvest, the beans are processed with great attention to detail before being dried under the Colombian sun, preserving their vibrant character and natural sweetness. The result is a coffee that reflects the beauty of Huila’s landscape and the craftsmanship of the farmers behind it—bright, expressive, and beautifully balanced in every cup. |

Process
|
Carefully harvested at peak ripeness, only the ripest coffee cherries are selected to ensure the best possible cup quality. Once picked, the cherries are processed with close attention to preserving their natural sweetness and vibrant character. After pulping, the beans undergo fermentation to gently break down the fruit sugars and enhance clarity in the cup. They are then thoroughly washed with clean water before being dried slowly under the sun, allowing moisture levels to reduce evenly while protecting the bean’s flavor and structure. This careful and traditional processing approach helps highlight the coffee’s bright citrus acidity, smooth chocolate body, and rich caramel sweetness, creating a clean, balanced, and expressive cup from roast to brew. |

Coffee contains caffeine, the most commonly consumed stimulant in the world and is widely used to benefit alertness as well as physical performance. It is also commonly linked to weight loss as caffeine can also increase a person’s metabolic rate by anywhere between 3-11%. Coffee also contains nutrients such as B2, B3, B5, Manganese and Potassium which are recommended as part of a healthy diet.
Studies are inconclusive but coffee has also been linked to various health benefits including lower risk of heart disease, lower risk of type 2 diabetes, and lower risk of both liver and colorectal cancer.
On average there is around 95mg of caffeine in a cup of coffee. With accurate coffee brewing we dissolve (or extract) the same percentage of coffee regardless of the brewing method. That is, in theory, although the concentration of flavour will change then the total amount of caffeine should be relatively consistent whether your final beverage is a 30ml espresso or a 250ml filter brewed coffee.
Coffee is made from the beans in coffee cherries which are grown in the “Bean Bel” - 20 degrees either side of the Equator. The bean belt includes countries like Colombia, Brazil, Indonesia, India, Kenya, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Tanzania, Mexico. Coffee beans are harvested from the coffee trees as ripe cherries. Then, they go through different processing methods to extract the coffee beans.
