A coffee with purpose. Grown in the lush Yungas region of La Paz, the Matriarcas project celebrates the skill, dedication, and leadership of women in Bolivian coffee. In the San Juan and Aljiri cooperatives, twenty women cultivate their coffee in full autonomy, advocating for gender equality, improving their livelihoods, and inspiring future generations.
This coffee is more than exceptional flavour — it’s a statement, a celebration of women’s role in agriculture, and a contribution to a movement empowering female coffee producers in Bolivia.
Pónaire is the Irish word for bean.
